US gov’t report shows possibility that China held info on COVID-19 severity

US

A new report assessed by the US government implies that China intentionally concealed the severity of the novel coronavirus, which have hit hundreds of countries around the world, from the get-go.

The US Department of Homeland Security discovered that the Chinese government withheld this information from he international community while it stockpiled imports and decreased exports.

According to the sources’ report and backed up by CNN earlier this week, “China likely cut its exports of medical supplies prior to its January WHO (World Health Organization) notification that COVID-19 is a contagion.

This has been disseminated among the federal government last Friday and have gained the attention of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo who claims that China exerted efforts to hide the extent of the coronavirus spread, therefore concealing its severity while stockpiling medical supplies.

He said, “We can confirm that the Chinese Communist Party did all that it could to make sure that the world didn’t learn in a timely fashion about what was taking place.

This added depth to the plan being formulated by Trump’s administration in punishing China for their wrongdoings and great responsibilities for the global pandemic.

Furthermore, the world awaits how this new report will affect the already complicated US-China relationship.

Yesterday, China’s state-run news agency Xinhua published an animated video that mocks how the US is responding to the ongoing health crisis as it also boasted China’s response.

As of this writing, there are 1,152,372 COVID-19 positive cases in the US and 67,456 deaths, based on data from Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
