Judging Day

April 6th marked the day of serving their judgments and reliable insights that would definitely help determining the awardees in this year’s VPCA. Held at Ambergris Cafe in Pasig City, the jury sat for a deliberation on all the nominees in all categories with John Luke Chica, Editor-in-Chief of Village Pipol Magazine and Inyi Yruma, Project Director of VPCA.

Meanwhile, the jury considered the following criteria in judging the nomineed for each category:

  • For business and technology categories: community relevance, impact/popularity, functionality of product/service, and performance of product/service all hold 25% each of the total judgment;
  • For travel and lifestyle categories: community relevance comprises 50% of the criteria while impact/popularity and sustainability holds 25% each;
  • For all categories in the entertainment: impact/popularity fills in 50% of the overall judgment while artistry/talent and community relevance comprise 25% each; and
  • For the major awards: visual appeal holds 50% while content relevance and the overall design holds 25% each.

This momentous event signals the nearing closing of online voting system on April 15th, thrilling the nominees, fans, and supporters to the most anticipated red carpet this May.
