It’s an excellent year-starter for Kapuso Pop Rocker as he gears up for his long-awaited solo concert. This award-winning recording artist has brought pride to the country countless times already. In 2023, he was named Male Singer of the Year at the Legacy Icon Awards for Business & Profession. Now that he is in the front door of a new career milestone, what are his realizations and preparations?

A Singer’s Dream Come True

Plans were already in the works for him to do a solo concert, but they only announced it last month. He recalled that he was hesitant at first because of time constraints. But a singer like him is born and destined to be on the stage. He explains that standing on a big stage breathes his life, and honestly, why would he decline to do his passion?

“I feel very excited and nervous at the same time. It was 2019 when I had a concert with Mikee Quintos. Here I am 5 years after doing it solo.”

This concert is not a typical show, as fans will witness two sides of Anthony Rosaldo. After doing Ang Huling El Bimbo Musical (AHEB), Anthony discovered something new inside him. With new learnings and fans supporting him, he grew a love for what he considers a newfound home—the theater. He excitedly mentions how he wanted to introduce musical theater to fans who haven’t experienced it.

Harmonizing with the Song of Life

Show business is a loud and bright industry, but what happens when you turn off the switch? Anthony relieves stress and recharges energy whenever he’s not in the limelight. In his unbusy days, he spends time cuddling with his corgis, Hoshi and Alex. Moreover, he takes this ample time to treat himself to peace of mind through binge-watching, cooking, traveling, and exercising.

People say, “You reap what you sow.” For an artist like Anthony, who has been in the business for quite a while now, the world has seen how dedicated and firm he is with what he wants. He started as a seed and is growing bigger through sweat and perseverance. When asked about a significant switch in his life throughout the years, he shared that he is now harvesting the fruits of his hard work.

The Groundwork for Putting Up a Production

Before watching AHEB for the first time in 2020, Anthony says he had no interest in theatrical performances, but to his surprise, it sparked something inside him. A few years passed, and he faced another pivotal moment in his career, switching from performing on TV to playing Young Hector in AHEB 2023.

Being part of a musical ensemble, he got immersed in the ins and outs of producing the show. Now that he is working on his own show, he plays a significant role in making it come to life. Anthony proudly shares that he personally handpicked the songs and the ideas for each one. He collaborated with the musical director a lot, so he focused chiefly on the music part of the production.

Hitting High Notes of His Career

Establishing a career in showbiz is like voyaging uncharted seas. Having a solo concert is already huge for artists—a manifestation of all the years of yearning to perform for an audience. Though Anthony has already earned this milestone, he still dreams of one thing as a singer—to have a hit song.

While there is space for everyone, securing your spot requires more than mere talent. Anthony Rosaldo’s dedication and relentlessness in his life vision drove him to discover new realms of music and uncover talents he never imagined doing.

As he reflects on his journey, Anthony wants to remind everyone never to stop dreaming and to give it their all to claim it.
