AFTER ALL OPENS IN LOCAL CINEMAS ON FEBRUARY 28

KelTy fans, rejoice!

The long-awaited romance flick, After All, starring the kilig-worthy loveteam of Beauty Gonzalez and Kelvin Miranda, will finally be shown in local cinemas starting February 28.

After All puts a novel twist on the concept of eternal love, exploring the possibilities of reincarnation, soulmates and everything else that seals relationships with the ‘forever’ stamp, amid the complexities of a May-December affair and an unlikely third wheel.

It’s the perfect post-Valentine’s Day antidote for the loveless and the lovelorn with its message of hope and its compelling premise of a love that defies time.

The KelTy loveteam first gained traction when Beauty and Kelvin first paired up in Loving Ms. Bridgette as part of GMA-7’s romance anthology series, Stories from the Heart.

Directed by Adolf Alix, Jr., After All also boasts of a formidable cast including Teejay Marquez, Devon Seron, comedienne Tart Carlos, hunky actor Juan Carlos Galano, former Miss World Philippines queens Dindi Pajares, Katrina Llegado and Riana Pangindian, GMA-7 Sparkle artists Bella Thompson and Kiko Ipapo, former PBB Otso housemate and content creator Lienel Navidad, and veteran stars Bembol Roco and Elizabeth Oropesa.

After All is another proud addition to ALV Films’ growing roster of commercial film projects, coming close on the heels of previous releases including Bato: The Gen. Ronald dela Rosa Story (starring Robin Padilla and Beauty Gonzalez, 2019), Because I Love You (starring David Licauco and Shaira Diaz, 2019), and Coming Home (starring Sylvia Sanchez, Jinggoy Estrada and an all-star ensemble, 2020)

ALV Films president and After All producer Arnold Vegafria is excited by the growing resurgence in the local movie industry, as gleaned from the latest 2023 MMFF box-office stats.

“Filipino movies are back in business, and we hope they stay that way for the long haul,” Vegafria expressed during After All’s recent press conference held at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel on Friday, February 16, 2024.

“The challenge for producers is to come up with fresh material that caters to the ever-changing tastes of our Pinoy audience.”

“There’s always been a tendency to take the easy road and resort to remakes and adaptations of foreign films, but I firmly believe that our writers and directors can compete head-on with their Western or even Asian counterparts, as we can see in our major triumphs in prestigious film festivals,” he adds.

“We have already opened the door. We have already given the world a close peek at what we can do. So, I firmly believe that it’s only a matter of time before we can surpass our Asian neighbors, like South Korea, for instance.”

“Hopefully, we at ALV Films can come up with truly unique storylines, and maybe even collaborate with some foreign productions who share our vision for movie magic.”

As part of its promotional efforts, the After All cast will embark on a promo tour in select Metro Manila malls prior to its grand premiere at SM Megamall Cinema 2 on February 26. The movie opens in select local cinemas on February 28.

Produced by ALV Flims, After All was based on a story concept by GMA-7 FVP for Program Management Joey Abacan, with screenplay by Gina Marissa Tagasa.
