Snoop Dogg is finally collaborating with BTS

Snoop Dogg, who is hosting NBC’s “American Song Contest” show, announced that a collaboration with K-pop sensation BTS is officially happening during the show’s red carpet event.

“The BTS experience you keep talking about. I’m going to let them tell you about it. It’s official like a referee with a whistle,” he told The A.V. Club

“I love that entertainment world. It’s good music. It’s a vibe. I make good music. They make good music. And we end up doing this. This is what it’s always about, bringing our worlds together.”

A 50-year-old American Rapper previously said that he started to discover BTS because of his nephew, who showed him video clips of them.

Moreover, Snoop Dogg also made it clear that BTS had approached him about collaborating in January – ARMYs have been expecting this.

Why did the collaboration happen?

In January, Snoop revealed that the South Korean group requested a collaboration on the “Mogul Talk” podcast by saying,

“I got a group named BTS that’s waiting on me to do a song with them right now.”

Snoop has previously collaborated with Korean artists and groups such as Girls Generation, PSY, Monsta X, and 2NE1.

“I got a record with a group called 2NE1 back in the day. Come on now; it’s what I do.”

“I’ve been experiencing the K-pop experience for a long time, connected to the music world (and) scene,” Snoop said.
