Pinoy Boyband Superstar alumnus Allen Cecilio shares advice to aspiring performers
Allen Cecilio was among the strongest contenders of Pinoy Boyband Superstar, the popular talent search in ABS-CBN last 2016. Since then, he rose to fame and we talked to him on how he deals with it.
According to the male performer, despite having more than 145,000 followers on Instagram and a growing fan base, he doesn’t even consider himself famous.
“I just go on my day as normal as I could. I am still grateful that there are people who support me and genuinely care for me and are still believing in my talents and I truly appreciate them a lot.”
Allen added that the best way to deal with fame is not let it sink into your system too much. It might be a cliche, but he follows the ‘keep your feet on the ground’ mantra as an artist.
Due to his attractive features and physique, a man like Allen sure receives thirsty comment. For him, it is a source of good vibes!
“I can’t help but laugh on how hilariously creative people could get these days. I swear thirsty comments are the funniest. Actually, I’m thankful for them because they appreciate and see the hotness in me that I don’t even realize in myself.”
Aside from his talent in singing, Allen is now venturing to acting as well. We asked him which he enjoys the most and it was a no-brainer for him. Of course, he chose his first love: music.
“I really enjoy both but I’d rather go with my first love which is singing. I can’t go on a day without singing even just a line of a song. There is really something in music that touches my soul.”
Pinoy Boyband Superstar paved the way for Allen to become a better version of himself. He might not have won the competition but he shared that he’s still thankful for the experience. In fact, he also said that he is still in touch with his fellow contestants and is proud of how each of their careers blossomed.
What’s his advice to aspiring performers?
“Always remember that we are all unique. Practice as much as you can, it will bring you closer to your dreams. Take comments constructively and use it as a weapon to strengthen your values, talents, and self-belief.”
Allen assured that it will be a roller coaster ride for them but if driven by passion, everything will be worth the fight.
