Sunscreens to protect your face this summer
The sun is out and so should your sunscreen! With the amount of heat that we experience here in the Philippines during the dry season, wearing sunscreen is non-negotiable. As it not only protects your skin from the sun, but also prevents your skin from aging, getting sunburns, and possible skin cancer.
In looking for a face sunscreen, it should have a minimum SPF30 or higher and a broad- spectrum, which means that it blocks UVA (causes aging) and UVB (causes burning) rays. You should apply at least ¼ teaspoon or at least two finger lengths of the product for your face and don’t forget to apply on your neck as well! Reapply every two hours for maximum protection, especially if you are outside.
In deciding the right sunscreen for you, it is a must that you check the sensitivity of your skin and your skin type. Gel type or gel cream sunscreen type is best for oily skin while cream type is most suitable for dry skin.
