Park Bo gum might enlist in the military this August

Ready your hearts Bogummy fans! Reports said that South Korean actor Park Bo Gum has already applied for his military enlistment yesterday, June 1.

Earlier today, June 2, Blossom Entertainment clarified that the 26-year-old actor already had his interview for his mandatory military enlistment, applying in navy military band.

“Because he did everything quietly, only a handful of people know even at the agency. Though there may be much that you are curious about, the situation will change depending on the result, so please understand that it’s difficult to disclose any details at the moment,” wrote Blossom Entertainment in a statement as translated by Soompi.

Park Bo Gum has specifically applied for the navy’s music corps.  Did you know that the actor’s father is a former marine? During his naval music corps audition and interview, he has displayed commendable piano and vocal skills.

The results of Park Bo Gum’s interview and audition will be released on June 26. If he is accepted, Park Bo Gum will be enlisting later this summer on August 31. After completing approximately 6-weeks of training with the navy, he will serve out the remainder of his 20-month mandatory service until April of 2022.

Meanwhile, Park Bo Gum is currently simultaneously working on his upcoming tvN drama ‘Record of Youth‘ and his new film, ‘Wonderland‘.
