Nostalgic moments that brings us back to the good old days

In time, as we mature and go to university. It has dawned on us that there are periods when we are not okay. We have come to the view that there are periods of our lives in which we are not in a phase that we’re always okay. That we’re content with where and when we are in life right now. For this reason, we frequently wish we could relive past experiences, reminding ourselves of how fortunate we were to have had them. Especially the days spent in high school, those are nostalgic moments that travel us back to the simpler times.

Since, life is getting tougher to us as we grow older, it teaches us lessons for the future. We frequently dwell on the past as a means of alleviating the melancholy we experience now as we separates from our hometown.

Dewy-eyed moments as we reminisce high school.

There are times in class when you’re rushing in late. This euphoria that causes you to sprint around the classroom. This rush of adrenaline that gets you up and moving so you can get to class quickly. However, upon entering the classroom, you discover that your classmates are in a state of disarray. Indicating that the instructor was not present and was most likely also running late. You can see them smiling and going about their business as you enter the front door of the classroom.

The boys are in the corner, using the soft broom as a guitar while they sing and play. Girls can be seen attempting various hair and makeup styles, including the popular fishtail braid. Some were seen reading ebooks at the corner, and others can be seen dozing off with their earphones in while listening to music.

And after the teacher had given us a few lessons and some short quizzes to review what we had learned. We make our way to the canteen as our friends continue to converse about the topic at hand. Ordering our favorite food and having epic moments, and then laughingly getting from our food before buying their own food. Having brief conversations with them while eating together will fill you with laughter and leave you with an overwhelming feeling that you will carry with you forever. A memory that will last a lifetime. And one that you think about whenever you eat alone in the cafeteria or at a fast food chain.

And at the end of the day, you will with then hand in hand making your way home. As they walk home, they chat, laugh, and smile widely as they say their goodbyes. And the grin stays on your face even as you walk home by yourself. But now, The feelings of “I survive” this day flood your body as you walk through your boarding house.

This are the moments that we frequently pass up as we enter the gates of our university. The atmosphere has significantly shifted as we have progressed along our career path. We work toward the achievement of the goals we have set for ourselves in life. But as we do so, the lessons from this batch of our life is amazingly beautiful making us into a better version of ourselves.
