Raze — My Favorite Agent in Valorant

Before we proceed on my favorite character or agent should I say. We need to know what is Valorant?

Valorant is a free-to-play first-person hero shooter developed and published by Riot Games, for Microsoft Windows. First teased under the codename Project A in October 2019, the game began a closed beta period with limited access on April 7, 2020, followed by an official release on June 2, 2020. The development of the game started in 2014.

Valorant takes inspiration from the Counter-Strike series of tactical shooters, borrowing several mechanics such as the buy menu, spray patterns, and inaccuracy while moving. So, meaning to say, it is a game where you need to win rounds to win the game.

Who is Raze?

According to Lore, Raze, the Brazilian tech user with a positive personality, loves boosting her teammates’ morale. Raze is the twelfth to join the Protocol, exploding out of her home city, Salvador.

Raze has a personality reflecting her explosive and colorful playstyle, bringing happiness and positivity to the team. She often cracks bad jokes and lifts the team’s spirit, all while obliterating the enemy with her kit. The rest of the team can find Raze annoying, however, the way she lightens the atmosphere does not go unnoticed. Raze also loves to party and is always incorporating music and festival at any chance she can get.

What I liked about this agent is her explosive skills. The first skill is her blast pack. In combat, it can help make Raze harder for enemies to keep track of. Raze use her blast pack to hop onto crates, giving her a positioning advantage that can easily catch enemies by surprise. Next is her boom bot. Boom Bot is an Intel ability that Raze must equip before casting. Upon casting, she will deploy a Boom Bot that, after a brief delay, begins to move forward along horizontal terrain. The bot will bounce off of any walls it comes into contact with.

Next are her Paint shells. Paint Shells is a Deterrent ability that Raze must equip before casting. Upon casting she will throw a cluster grenade that explodes after a set amount of time. And last is her ultimate ability, Showstopper. FIRE shoots a rocket that does massive area damage on contact with anything.

If you are planning to play this game with your friends and you haven’t tried to use raze, YOU should try her! I can assure you that you can enjoy her rocky personality and her explosive movements!
