Genshin Impact Artifacts Set: Deepwood Memories and Gilded Dreams Explained

Genshin Impact Sumeru region introduces not just a new map and new characters, but also two new sets of Artifacts: Deepwood Memories and Gilded Dreams.

Artifacts have always been a crucial aspect for players when it comes to building their characters in the game. They often spark debates within the community, as players aim to enhance their characters’ strengths, skills, and stats to maximize their damage output. This allows them to overcome challenging bosses and domains, whether playing solo or alongside friends.

Sumeru New Artifacts Sets

Deepwood Memories in Genshin Impact

Version 3.0 in Genshin Impact introduced Deepwood Memories as one of the two newest available artifact sets. You can obtain them by unlocking a domain called “Spire of Solitary Confinement” located in the Avidya Forest, Sumeru.

To maximize the buff given in this domain, it is recommended to include characters with high elemental mastery in your team composition when facing the challenge.

Set effects

2 pc set – Dendro DMG Bonus +15%.

4 pc set – The targets’ Dendro RES will decrease by 30% for 8 seconds after the equipping character’s Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents. This effect can be triggered, even if the equipping character is not currently on the field.

The set effects of Deepwood memories are pretty much self-explanatory, if the character equipping these artifacts has two pieces of any from the five variant then they will gain a 15% dendro damage bonus, on the other hand giving your character the 4 pc set will decrease the opponent’s dendro RES by 30% for eight seconds upon hitting them with elemental skills or bursts.

Gilded Dreams in Genshin Impact

Gilded dreams is the other of the two newest artifacts set that has been available since version 3.0 in Genshin Impact. Same with Deepwood Memories, you can obtain them by unlocking a domain called “Spire of Solitary Enlightenment”. It is located in the Avidya Forest, Sumeru.

Set Effects

2 pc set – Elemental Mastery +80.

4 pc set – Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each party member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the aforementioned buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.

First thing to note is that equipping two pieces will grant you an increase of Elemental Mastery by 80. Pretty straight forward, right?

Now, the 4-pc set will buff a single character in your party -the one who is equipping Gilded dreams.

1 For every member of your party that shares the SAME elemental type as the holder, You will get an ATK increase of 14%. Can stack up to three counts.

2 For every members of your party with a DIFFERENT elemental type as the holder, you will get an increase in Elemental Mastery by 50. This can also stack up to three counts.

This set seems pretty intended for a Main DPS who’s gonna be doing most of the team’s damage. You can choose which buff you would want to trigger. Either with mono-element that provides ATK buff. Or you can opt for the three distinct elements that provides Elemental Mastery. This will greatly benefit a team doing Elemental reactions.

Building your characters in Genshin Impact sure takes time and requires a lot of patience. Especially if luck’s not on your side when rolling artifacts. But keep on grinding, because as much as it’s taxing, it can also be rewarding!
