Aliw 2020 Congress will happen on December 15
For the first time in Aliw Awards Foundation`s history of over four decades, the foundation will hold its first Congress on December 15, 2020 at the Manila Hotel.
“The decision to do so was prompted by the need of the times,” AAFI Founding President Alice H. Reyes said.
The theme of the Congress is “The Plight of the Live Entertainment Industry in the time of Covid-19.”
Invited to speak at the Congress are Film Development Council of the Philippines Chairman Liza Dino Seguerra, DECS USEC Tonicito Umali and Actor/Director Audie Gemora, a multiple Aliw awardee.
“The Congress will enlighten its participants, who come from various fields of entertainment as well as their supporters, on ways and means to cope with the pandemic that has deprived them of their livelihood,” Reyes explained
Frontliner from various hospitals in Metro Manila, who have helped the live entertainers during the pandemic, will be honored at the Congress.
Registration starts at 3 P.M and the program proper begins at 4 P.M.
