Maureen Wroblewitz was scouted in the same modeling agency as The Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy

Prior to the success of her impeccable acting performances in hit movie ‘Emma’ and Netflix series ‘The Queen’s Gambit,’ Anya Taylor-Joy was once making it as a model. She was scouted by Sarah Doukas, the founder of renowned British modeling agency Storm Management at the age of 17. 

Yes, it’s the same agency that discovered the likes of Kate Moss, fashion personality Alexa Chung, supermodels Behati Prinsloo, Cindy Crawford, and our very own Maureen Wroblewitz.

Best known as the hailed winner of the 5th season of Asia’s Next Top Model, Maureen bagged this opportunity with her prizes. Currently, she is also signed under local talent management agency Prima Stella Management. 

Meanwhile, during Anya’s time, she revealed that the offer came to her in a random way. She shared during an interview with i-D that she was just giving her dog a walk outside the English department store Harrod’s when she noticed being followed by a car. Little did she know, it was actually Doukas inside and handed over a business card. This was the beginning of her now flourishing career.
