Honkai Star Rail: The Astral Express to Stress Relief
Honkai Star Rail is the newest Space Fantasy RPG offered by Hoyoverse, the same game developers behind big titles such as Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Tears of Themis. It offers a premise of hopping aboard a space train onwards to great adventures and a journey filled with infinite wonders!
A refreshing and casual approach
One of the things to like about Honkai Star Rail is the way it introduces a refreshing casualness, setting it apart from other RPG games. From the humorous and charming protagonist, known as the Trailblazer, to some uncanny references from several movies injected into the funny dialogues scattered throughout the game. Unlike in other RPG games where we sometimes disregard the MCs after getting more powerful ones, the Trailblazer in HSR in my opinion, is super useful and definitely worth investing into!
The re-imagined tactical combat in Honkai Star Rail
Oddly enough, I thought for sure I wouldn’t last in this game after a few hours of trying it out. That was the initial assumption! As I prefer the more fast-paced battle dynamics. But, it’s crazy how there’s so much going on and the combat has a lot of synergy and depth in it. Another factor is how visually stunning the characters and their ability animations are. Simply fantastic, and makes it more immersive when casting shields or throwing debuffs. The game provides a delightful change of pace and you never would have guessed that this is HYV’s first turn-based game. The execution is remarkably seamless, and it is just the start.
Unique character designs and top-tier voice actors
The visual design in Honkai Star Rail is just straightforward and beautiful, and the graphics quality has been really a pleasant surprise. From aesthetics, personalities, and lore experience collectively pulls you into this world of space and makes you stay out for more. Another thing to commend is the casting of renowned voice actors that’s available in full voice-overs in four languages! Through this, the characters really come alive beyond the virtual realities and become our companions in this incredible journey.
Video games have really come a long way! If you are looking for a new game to try out without the super tight-scheduled grinding involved, you might wanna give Honkai Star Rail a try and embark on a journey to the celestial realm! Play at your own pace and enjoy, Trailblazers!
