Here’s What You Need To Know About Maestro 2020

Maestro was launched as a Dance Competition last March 2019. The event gave out a total of PHP 150,000 worth of cash prizes to a total of 3 champion divisions: High School, Collegiate & Open Division.

Due to COVID-19, all live competitions, performances, and entertainment events have been put on hold up to the present. Artists are now suffering the blow due to the lack of opportunities this pandemic has presented.

At the same time, the pandemic’s LOCKDOWN halted therapy sessions for children with special needs leading to these children’s lack of developmental enhancement, decreased emotional well-being, lessened productivity at home, and strained interpersonal relationships.

Hence this Sunday, December 20, 2020, at 6 pm, Maestro Dance Competition will be uniting different Artists and Artist Dance Groups by transitioning their annual dance competition to a Virtual Christmas Community Variety Show Concert instead.

It will be a benefit concert. A Joint fundraising event between individual artists, artist groups and Maestro’s beneficiaries: underprivileged children with Special Needs of The Heart at Play Foundation (THP). THP or the Heart at Play Foundation uses dance movement therapy to transform the lives of children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral, and other developmental disabilities.
