Unsurprisingly, the single received a lot of hype and attention. It was released after BTS announced a break as a band. Apparently, Jungkook has already begun his own journey without the other BTS groups.

Furthermore, this is the second time that Charlie and Jungkook have worked together. Back in 2018, they performed ‘We don’t talk anymore’ together on stage at the 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards. The performance was held in South Korea.

The song is the first individual project for Jungkook after the hiatus of the band. While for Charlie Puth, ‘Left and Right’ follow his previous singles “Light Switch” and “That’s Hilarious”.

Left and Right’s meaning and its melody

Charlie and Jungkook forged fantastic chemistry on their joint single. Their unique voices make the song more pleasing to listen to. Left and Right’s lyrics convey some sort of love sick. Although the melody is quite cheerful and upbeat, it expresses longingness for someone.

In their music video, embroiled with the feelings and thoughts of their exes, they had to visit a “love doctor” in an attempt to cure their heartache. As the lines in the song say: “Memories follow me left and right/I can feel you over here, I can feel you over here/You take up every corner of my mind,” the pair sings during the song’s chorus.

Many of their fans can resonate with the sentimental lyrics and chilling melody of the song. The Duo never failed to produce music that is relatable and addictive.
