Celebrity book recommendations: Are they worth the hype?

Bookworms and casual readers alike, it’s time to update our “to-be-read” pile with these celebrity recommended books.

From BookTok famous to hidden gems, some of our beloved artistas have shared with their followers some of their current and/or favorite reads.

I’m not a celebrity of any kind but I have read some of these books and yes, I concur, they are definitely worth the hype.

Let’s take a look at several celebrity-approved reads!

Colleen Hoover has definitely tickled the fancy of celebrity friends Kathryn Bernardo, Ria Atayde, and Alora Sasam. The trio shared on their IG posts several of the author’s books, seeming to be on a CoHo marathon.

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

CoHo’s best-selling book follows the story of Lily Bloom who fell in love with a surgeon named Ryle Kincaid, without fully knowing the entirety of his being. The true to life events of partners in abusive relationships are intimately interpreted in a brave but heartbreaking manner.

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

After a devastating incident in his youth, Miles Archer wants everything but a serious relationship. That is until he met Tate Collins. As the two become physically involved with each other, there comes grave consequences, in life and in love.

Verity by Colleen Hoover

Deviating from CoHo’s drama-romance genre, Verity will definitely take your breath away – in awe and in shock. Following the accident of famous author Verity Crawford, Lowen Ashleigh was tasked by the former’s husband, Jeremy, to complete the series his wife was writing before the accident.

Aside from CoHo books, Alora Sasam also included another famous read.

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

This book is a retelling of the tale of great Greek hero, Achilles, through the lens of his best friend Patroclus. The two characters venture into love, life, and war, and their relationship will be tested by greater forces.

Moving aside from fiction, Toni Gonzaga and Lovi Poe have also shared their favorite non-fiction books.
