Yes, undying love does exist. This was most evident in the recent story of a 22-year-old Filipina from Quezon City where she shared her late father’s surprise anniversary celebration for her mother, which poked hearts in social media.

An email from her late father

It was 3:00 AM and Aly Mendoza couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw this email that popped up her screen. It was a message from her father who died a year ago. In the said email, her dad instructed her how to hold her parents’ 25th wedding anniversary.

“I couldn’t believe what I was reading. My dad’s love for my mom is definitely immeasurable,” Aly said.

“The e-mail contained instructions for me for their anniversary celebration this year. Apparently before my dad passed away, he planned everything. He even contacted and paid for a florist to deliver flowers to my mom for the coming years on every special occasion,” she said.

Her father died last August 21, 2019 due to chronic kidney disease and heart disease.

It was a surreal and emotional moment for Aly to learn that her dad planned every special occasion in the future for them to feel his presence and above all, his love.

FatherIn fact, her mother couldn’t hold back her tears. Aly documented this event and shared it online, quickly gaining sympathy and amusement from friends and the public.

“Of course my mom cried because she misses the love of her life. But I could see how happy everything made her because she knew that everything was planned by my dad,” she shared.

It could have been both her parents celebrating their anniversary yesterday, June 10. Nevertheless, his gesture proved that their vow “til death do us part” did not separate their bond.

As of this writing, the story about Aly shared by the Philippine Star gained over 77,000 shares and 137,000 reactions on Facebook alone.
