When it comes to staying fit, we instantly think of either the gym or the greens we should eat. But wellness is not just all about threadmills and salads! The mind and the body should be united for us to achieve our body goals.
Village Pipol talked to one of this year’s Century Tuna Superbods finalists to discuss what more can we do to stay fit and healthy.
Julian Roxas is tagged by many as their fitspiration because of his well-toned abs and physique. He charmed us in his appearances in various TV shows and movies such as FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Talk Back and You’re Dead (2014), For the Hopeless Romantic (2015), and Lilay: Darling of the Crowd (2010). Now, he continues to inspire others with his passion to help everyone become their best selves.
We asked Julian what he does aside from frequent visits to the gym and eating right, and we were surprised to earn that his secret is plain and simple: “Sleep! Sleep a lot!”
Upon research, we found out that if you’re trying to keep tabs on your weight, “the amount of sleep you get may be just as important as your diet and exercise.” Julian may be really on to something!
Currently, he is a certified trainer, host and actor. Yes, he can do all these things because his mind and body make him capable to do so.
But does a man like Julian look up to others as well? Of course! According to him, his idols are Christian Guzman, who is an American amateur bodybuilder, YouTube vlogger, motivational speaker, and fitness entrepreneur and Greg O’Gallagher who built his own multimillion-dollar Kinobody business through YouTube and Instagram, marketing a fitness, diet and lifestyle brand.
Having a body like Julian‘s, we were curious to know how he deals with thirsty comments from his fans and followers.
His sweet but cute response was, “I love you guys! You keep me going!”
