True beauty goes beyond the physical traits. We, at Village Pipol, are grateful for the voices who joined us in demanding for equal rights among the LGBT community via our ‘I Am’ campaign.
These past few days have been especially difficult for the gay community as they continue their plight against discrimination and violence. This year’s Pride month might be different and more challenging than the others, we all in our own ways can contribute to their fight.
Philippine beauty queens have also joined in using their platform to raise awareness and promote proper representations among their sphere of influence, each using one word that describes their truth.

Good morning & #Happypridemonth to all the beautiful souls of the LGBTQ+ community around the Universe! Thank you for being you. I see you, I love you & I appreciate you, just the way you are.✨ Thank you for showing me so much love & genuine support over the past years. One of the reasons I can be my Authentic self is because of you. Your strength, courage & perseverance to go against what society deems “normal” or “acceptable” is something I will forever admire & strive for. But that is not all, you are fun, funny ,creative, passionate, hardworking, compassionate, caring & most importantly honest. Life is genuinely better with you around ✨ I have countless stories that just melt my heart but in the end your positivity is so contagious! There is power in sharing our stories, accepting Who we are & by being yourself. Thank you! Please know that you have a friend in me. I will forever stand by you, uplift you & support you, because I love you & know it’s the right thing to do. Now, more than ever, let’s recognize the importance of individuality and celebrate diversity in our communities, within our organization, and around the universe ✨ This Pride Month, together with Village Pipol Magazine, let us help elevate discourse for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Regardless of color, sexuality, gender, and background, we are all more than capable of showing each other the change we'd like to see in the world. It is never too late to make a change, it won't be easy, but it can be done. This is your chance to take a stand and to have a voice in our society. I am Sandra Raymundo Lemonon, and I am an Ally ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Ps-Special thank you to @villagepipol for celebrating pride month & letting me be part of this Campaign. I could turn the other cheek but could not look the other way. I am an ally and I want you to know that I HEAR YOU, I FEEL YOU, I SEE YOU AND THEREFORE, I AM WITH YOU. 🌈 I was born in a society in which one’s gender identity defines worth and power — a longstanding issue that affects us all, but not many of us are even aware that it exists. Now, more than ever, let’s recognize the importance of individuality and celebrate diversity in our communities, within our organization, and around the world. This Pride Month, together with Village Pipol Magazine, let us help elevate discourse for the LGBT+ community and its allies. Regardless of color, sexuality, gender, and background, we are all more than capable of showing each other the change we'd like to see in the world. It is never too late to make a change; it won't be easy, but it can be done. This is your chance to take a stand and to have a voice in our society. I am Angelia and again, I am WITH YOU. We believe that persisting and resisting together using each of our strengths are vital for the community and whatever contribution, big or small, already gives us a step forward.
