IG RAID: Joshua Garcia takes us behind the scene of Darna
Joshua Garcia is a well-loved Filipino Kapamilya star who began his acting career in 2015. Dubbed as “Tatay’s Boy ng Batangas” during his Pinoy Big Brother days, he is known for Vince & Kath & James (2016), Love You to the Stars and Back, and his latest teleserye, Darna (2022).
As a treat to his fans, we raid his Instagram! However, this time it would not be his main account (@garciajoshuae) which has 5.1 million followers. Yes, you read that right because Joshua has this JG IMAHE (@jeg.imahe) account, solely for his photographs! It has 45.8K followers which seems a lowkey account for a celebrity, yet, it fits the whole personal vibe that his feed exudes!

Meeting Brian Robles
A day ahead of Mars Ravelo’s Darna premiere on August 15, Joshua Garcia revealed some behind the scene photos on his Instagram. Showcasing his great shots really maximized the anticipation for the new Darna adaptation. Using Leica Q2, Joshua posted photos of his role as Brian Robles, with his fellow actor, Jeffrey Santos on the cover.
Sibling Bond with Narda and Ding
Of course, showcasing to the public the teaser photos of Darna would never be complete without the main character! Joshua took a candid photo of Narda (Jane De Leon) and her sibling, Ding (Zaijian Jaranilla) on the set with his Leica M6 camera. While on the next image, sitting beside Zaijian is Joshua wearing his police uniform. Effortlessly acting as the finest police officer in the Philippine TV series!
The Fierce Regina Vanguardia
However, this is the main event in Joshua’s Instagram— photos of Janella Salvador as Regina Vanguardia. Well, only in the meantime, because Janella plays the most famous Filipina supervillain, Valentina. Joshua and Janella, the former love team in The Killer Bride (2019), may not end up together in Darna for their contrasting roles, but your JoshNella heart still wins in this one!

Some of you may haven’t known but Joshua Garcia already teased behind the scene photos last May 24. He seemed excited to reveal some contents of Darna to the public. But we cannot blame him for we did also feel the tension of waiting too! Seen in the photos are Zaijian Jaranilla, Janella Salvador, and a friend from the production staff.

Choosing what other Instagram post to feature as a bonus is confirmed to be difficult because Joshua Garcia’s photography is immaculate! But then, not only he did take us on the behind the scene of Darna— but also to his behind spotlight with Kapamilya friends.
With the use of Joshua’s Pentax Espio 80, he perfectly captured their sea vacation in grainy black and white photos. Some of the friends he was with were Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, and Zanjo Marudo.
