Makeup Tips for Women with Round Faces

Having a round face usually comes with the struggle of appearing chubby or bloated which not everyone prefers. Although it makes one look younger, friendlier, and more feminine, it makes your face look like it’s lacking structure. It is easy to change this with makeup!

With a touch of makeup, you can appear snatched and mature as intensely as you like! You just have to know how to do it right with the use of the right shades and ideal placements.

Here are makeup tips for women with round faces

Contour

Contouring is what makes most of the job done. It has the power to enhance and manipulate your face shape according to your preferences. It can make it look more structured, boxier, lifted, and even rounder! As long as you know where to place it, you’re on the right track.

First, pick a contour color about two shades lighter than your skin tone. It can be a cream or powder type, it doesn’t matter. Just make sure that it’s on a cooler tone and not a warmer tone, because a warm tone is used as a bronzer. Next, place it under your cheekbones towards your ear in a straight, diagonal line to make your face look slimmer and lifted. Then place it under your jawline for a sharper and less rounded look. Make sure to blend it properly so it looks seamless and natural. To enhance your contours without adding more and have it end up looking harsh, add a highlighter on the highest points of your face, focusing on your cheekbones!

Blush

Putting a blush on seems like the simplest way of putting on makeup, with no rules or complications. You’d think that it’s just adding a pink shade over your cheeks. It’s not just that! You can place it in ways that can change your whole face as well. Putting it directly over your cheekbones will make it look fuller. So, what you want to do is to put it diagonally just slightly over your contour. This will give you a slimmer look! Again, be sure to blend it well with the contour to make it look like it’s a natural flush in your cheeks!

Eyebrow makeup

Giving your eyebrows a little bit more structure will make them blend well with the contour and the blush. Give it a defined and arched shape using a color similar to hair color. Make sure that it’s darker towards the tail and lighter towards the middle of your forehead to make it look natural. Finish up the look with a highlighter on your brow bone to really make those sultry eyebrows pop!

Eyeshadow

Eyeshadow isn’t all about having fun colors and bold eye makeup looks. Although it’s good for drawing attention to your eyes, you can just use a very subtle brown shade. Add it to your lids to give it depth and dimension. It is a simple step but enough to amplify the overall look you’re going for!

A round-shaped face has a unique beauty on its own. It’s totally up to you whether you’d prefer to enhance it by making it look sharper or retaining its youthful features!
