To BTS, the closest people in his life, their Hoseokie-hyung, Hobi-ah, is very supportive. During their FESTA 2021 celebration, the members were asked to describe each other in one word. SUGA, who fans see as his closest brother, said that j-hope is “Vitamin”. Literally and figuratively, j-hope is fun and energizing to be with.
Sunshine Hobi, that’s what ARMYs call him. He shows his love and support to his members and the fans in various thoughtful ways. That time when he sent a coffee truck to the set of D-2, Daechwita filming, to cheer his members there. Trucks in South Korea cost from $2000 to $5000.

Flew to U.S. to visit Jin filming ‘the Astronaut’, attended Dior Paris Fashion Week with Jimin, is proven to have folders full of each members pictures and videos that he uses to greet them in their birthdays with his iconic hashtag #홉필름 (#HopeFilm), and many other acts and gifts of love for his brothers and friends.
Good deeds of Hope
The 29 year old dancing machine has proven that he is not just “j-HOPE” in name, but also in deeds. It is not a secret that he has always supported different progressive groups and organizations financially. Giving out thousands of dollars worth of scholarships to students is one. Aside from direct donations and sponsorship, he’s been a fan of ornaments, jewelry, clothing, etc that are connected to different good causes. A form of giving back to the community.

J-hope is indeed a true inspiration. What is more amazing is that the fans also do the same. Hobiwives, a Filipino fanclub of j-hope, has been featured in Naver News (South Korean online platform) for their latest charity project in celebration of the idol’s birthday. This is proof that his songs are not just mere words but a hope for good deeds.

“Equality is you and me” a trademark line from his hit song “= (Equal Sign)”, the fifth track from his album Jack in the Box. The iconic line is just one of the countless words of comfort and wisdom that the man has spoken. And his name, he himself, is a living reminder that with hope, hard work, and a good soul pays off.
