In the 1950s, Hepburn set the standard for the pixie cut, also the way her black dress accentuates her bust with the fabric sophisticatedly wrapped around her body and cascading to the ground in the movie War and Peace. This is one of her movies that I particularly love. Audrey wore airy midi skirts, silk scarves, and light linens for a number of the film’s scenes. Her long hair is cut short and cropped into a pixie style, plus her signature fringe bangs always accentuate her doll-like eyes and face shape are notable styles she acquires.

You might like her clothes, but at the end of the day, she designed them. While she played her fair share of damsels in distress on screen, her off-screen story of struggling to survive in a post-World War II world makes her all the more inspirational.
Audrey Hepburn isn’t an icon because she was good at fashion, which she was. She is an icon because the way she carries herself brings you a smile. You could adore her clothes, but at the end of the day, she equipped them.
Audrey’s humanitarian legacy should be honored as frequently as her acting career. She will be remembered for always having a kind spirit and a giving heart. Even after her film career was over, Hepburn used her fame to advocate for people in developing countries for many years. A commendable woman who truly marked her legacy on earth.
