Spice up your warm-up routine with Valorant’s Team Deathmatch
It’s time to dust your keyboard once again, FPS gamers. Popular shooting gaming Valorant releases Team Deathmatch to spice up your warm-up routine. The new 5v5 game mode challenges a player’s teamwork, aim, and use of utilities all at once. Ever since its release, players have been popping off with multi-kills, and groups of friends have been playing together as a way to hang out.
How Team Deathmatch Works
Riot Games
Team Deathmatch might be the more chaotic version of Valorant’s Deathmatch game mode. Aside from precision with your gun, it also allows you to use your utilities. Basically, you’re in a 10-minute race to get 100 combined kills but with smokes, mollies, flashes, and everything else that can be thrown at you. Imagine a regular game but without sites and without the objective to plant or defuse a spike.
There are four stages of combat, each with different weapon selections.
Weapon Selection per Stage | Riot Games
- Stage 1: Classic, Frenzy, Ghost
- Stage 2: Stinger, Ares, Sheriff
- Stage 3: Bulldog, Guardian, Spectre, Ares
- Stage 4: Vandal, Phantom
After picking a gun that matches your play style, it’s time to get wild on the battlefield. Out there, look out for recovery and ultimate orbs that spawn in certain sections of the map. As the name suggests, recovery orbs restore health and shield in six seconds while ultimate orbs increase ultimate percentage.
There are also different weapons such as Judge, Odin, and Operator lying on the field that are up for grabs to whoever gets them first.
New Set of Maps
Riot Games definitely went all-out with the release of the game mode by introducing a new set of maps. Piazza, Kasbah, and District are all smaller maps with two spawn areas and lots of corners. Each has different features that you should explore and use to your advantage.
Ultimate Warm-Up Routine
Even pro players like TenZ have been streaming his Team Deathmatch games because, for a simple mode, it’s exhilarating to find out how well you’ll perform. It’s the ultimate warm-up routine because unlike practice range and deathmatch, it involves utilities and team play. These two things are very crucial to get ready for a ranked game.
But even if you are not planning to play competitively, you can certainly still have fun with its features and gimmicks.
Team Deathmatch is for everybody. You can use it as a warm-up routine before a ranked game. You can also completely avoid a full game with all of the complicated objectives and just focus on shooting. Play it solo, call your friends — it’s all up to you!
