WTW: Mind-Buzzing Psychological-Thriller Movies You Can Watch


It’s been bed weather lately and if you’re anything like me who find watching movies as a routine of self-love then maybe you might consider watching these mind-buzzing Psychological-Thriller movies that I have loved watching!
The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

This is a classic one. Jodie Foster plays young FBI cadet Clarice in this adaption of the same-titled classic book by Thomas Harris, who is in need of assistance in discovering a serial killer. She ends up receiving guidance from a former psychiatrist and now-incarcerated cannibal killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter, and the results are just as unpleasant as you might anticipate.
Black Swan (2010)

In this movie, Nina (Natalie Portman) will do anything to advance her dance career. She competes against a wild youngster for the lead part in the upcoming staging of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. As they compete for the role, Nina starts to lose her sense of reality, and the competition takes a sinister turn.
Gone Girl (2014)

Nick (Ben Affleck), a former writer, and his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike), appear to be the ideal couple. But Nick is the main suspect after Amy vanishes on their fifth wedding anniversary. Following a series of unexpected turns, the terrible reality of what occurred is revealed, and it is absolutely not what you expect.
Split (2016)

Split is a great psychological thriller that centers on Kevin, a man who suffers from an identity issue that causes him to have 23 different identities. He then kidnaps three teenagers, revealing various facets of his personality and creating a far more suspenseful film.
Unhinged (2020)

After a run-in with an unstable man, award-winning actor Russell Crowe, at an intersection, Rachel becomes the target of his fury.
Escape Room (2019) & Escape Room: Tournament of Champions (2021)

A maze-like escape room must be escaped by six strangers in the psychological thriller movie Escape Room after they are thrust into uncontrollable circumstances.
Ma (2019)

A group of teenagers unexpectedly become friends with Sue Ann (Octavia Spencer), a reclusive woman, and she agrees to let them have a party in her basement. However, soon after, events occur that cause the teenagers to doubt her hospitality, and a darker aspect of their bond begins to emerge.

A clown named Arthur (Joaquin Phoenix) longs for some humor in a Gotham City that is getting darker and darker. However, as we discover more about Arthur’s horrific past of maltreatment and torture, the mentally sick Arthur begins to take on the menacing persona of the Joker.
The Handmaiden (2016)

The Handmaiden is a psychological thriller and romance that tells the tale of a complex ruse from the perspectives of the con artist and the noblewoman who is being conned.
Midsommar (2019)

A thriller and folk horror film is titled Midsommar. As they travel to Sweden with some friends for a midsummer festival, the dysfunctional couple Dani and Christian, played by Florence Pugh and Jack Reynor, find themselves in the grips of a dangerous Scandinavian pagan cult.
Greta (2018)

The psychological thriller movie Greta was written by Ray Wright and directed by Neil Jordan. In the movie, a young woman befriends a widow who later develops an unsettling obsession with her.
