Little Mix to be on hiatus after wrapping up ‘Confetti Tour’

Little Mix announced in December 2021 that, after 11 years together, they would be taking a break after the closing of their Confetti tour. Thus, on May 14, 2022, Little Mix performed their last concert as a group before being on hiatus to pursue separate careers, and the atmosphere went very emotional.

During the last performance of their Confetti tour at London’s O2 Arena, bandmates Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock fought to hold it together in front of their fans.

The popstars stated they want to embark on other projects but have plans for more songs, tours, and performances in the future while assuring fans that this was not a break-up.

The three members of the female band, who first appeared on The X Factor in 2011, were in tears and found it difficult to sing during their last performance, which was aired live online for fans all over the globe.

Perrie Edwards claimed she had a “constant lump” in her throat and started weeping shortly after the program started. Edwards thanked the audience, many of whom were crying, and said,

“Every single one of you has made such a big impact on our lives and we wouldn’t be standing here now if it wasn’t for you. I need to get my s**t together, I’m so sorry.”

Little Mix sang Between us for their last show on their Confetti Tour

“It’s about our journey, it’s about our love for each other, and we never get through it without crying,” Perrie told Little Mix fans before singing their farewell song Between us.

“Can you help us sing this next one?”

The bandmates crowded together on stage with their dancers for the poignant last song, singing to their fans one more time, and there was not a dry eye in the stadium.

The band members couldn’t find the words to sing for long portions during the confetti tour, so they turned their mics to the audience to shout out the lyrics.

Jesy Nelson, a founding member of the band who quit in 2020 after claiming that her experience in the band had taken a toll on her mental health, was not mentioned throughout the event.
Little Mix becomes a trio with Perrie, Jade, and Leigh-Anne promising to keep the band together.

Last year, Jesy said that she and her former bandmates were no longer interacting but that there was “no bad blood from my side.”

We, Mixers, wish you well on your solo endeavors, girls! Truly, we hope each one of you succeeds!
