Top Animated Marvel Series Picks on Disney +

As Disney+ finally arrived in the Philippines, Filipinos can now enjoy entertainment titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star. Alongside these contents are other Korean, action, and heartwarming films and series that can be watched exclusively on the newest streaming platform. 

Filipino MCU fans are among the most excited about the arrival of Disney+. Ever since the start of the pandemic, Marvel Studios has released many Marvel series. But are exclusive on the app and are now accessible. Aside from that, you can also stream new and old Marvel content. If you are now updated on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s time to explore the animated series that greatly explores other characters and adventures.

Here are the top Marvel animated series you need to check out:

X-Men (1992)

The classic X-Men series is a core memory of Marvel 90s fans. The series explores the wide comic book arc of the mutants versus the world. As the mutants face extinction and hate because of humans, they also faced divisions among themselves.  The X-Men series theme also played in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Patrick Stuart also reprises his role as Professor X. It is also a must-watch for Marvel studios slated for a sequel for the animated series entitled, “X-Men ’97.” It plans to continue where the original series left off. The show is set to be released in 2023.

Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (2010)

Craving for more Avengers’ adventures? This animated series uses all eras of comics. It reflects the tone and style of the original stories by the Avengers creator, Stan Lee, and Jack Kirby. It features the original lineup from the comics: Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Wasp, and the Giant Man. The voice actors are based on the voices of the on-screen actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Nostalgic feels, anyone?

Ultimate Spider-Man (2017)

The series focuses on Spider-Man’s training with Nick Fury to be his ultimate self with his fellow new hero co-trainees: White Tiger, Nova, Iron Fist, and Power Man. It also shows Spider-Man’s comedic side with his quips and fourth-wall-breaking as he fights bad guys and balances high school. One of the series’ writers is also a writer of the comic of the same name that ran from 2000 to 2001. 

Marvel Rising Series (2018)

The next generation of heroes is here! The series introduces Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Squirrel Girl, America Chavez, Quake, Ghost-Spider, Patriot, Inferno, and Iron Heart. Some of them already debuted in the MCU and in other live-action adaptations of the comic-verse. This can be your introduction to the young faces of the future of the MCU. Their chronological order is: Marvel Rising: Initiation, Marvel Rising: Secret Wars, Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts, Marvel Rising: Heart of Iron, Marvel Rising: Battle of the Bands, Marvel Rising: Operation Shuri, and Marvel Rising: Playing with Fire.

Fantastic Four is seen on the horizon with John Krasinski as Earth-818’s Mr. Fantastic kicked off in the MC. But before its release in 2025, you can do your comic assignment with the Fantastic Four animated series released in 1994. Its storylines are inspired by the classic 1960s comic book arc.
