The best Filipino soups to enjoy when it’s drizzling outside


Personally, I am a pluviophile, so it is never a problem when it rains. It actually lightens my mood. Bt of course, what comes with that is my craving for a soup to sip that can further improve the production of serotonin.
I compiled a list of Pinoy soups so that we can all enjoy the rain when it comes.
Filipino Crab and Corn Soup

The Filipino Crab and Corn Soup is a fantastic appetizer. you can pair it with a nice sandwich during snacks. Its delicate taste can perfectly complement your meals any time of the day.
Pancit Lomi

Lomi or Pancit Lomi is a Filipino-Chinese dish best eaten while steaming hot. It is made with a variety of thick fresh egg noodles of about a quarter of an inch in diameter. Pancit Lomi is very popular in eastern part of Batangas and Bacolod City.
Chicken Mami Noodle Soup

Chicken Mami Noodle Soup is made of egg noodles, chicken broth, pieces of sliced chicken, cabbage, fried garlic, and green onions. The preparation of the broth is the key to this dish. All you need is a lot of chicken bones and you should use freshly made egg noodles, instead of the preserved or dried ones.
Arroz Caldo

Arroz Caldo, best represents the mixture of Filipino heritage, combining Spanish, Chinese, and Filipino flavors. The use of chicken and cut into individual servings makes it different from other congees. Some also add Chicharon, Saffron to give it color. Toasted garlic and scallions are added to enhance the flavor, and aroma of the dish.
