Mt. Pulag offers approximately four trails for hiking enthusiasts. Among these, the Ambangeg and Akiki Trails stand out as the most popular. The Ambangeg Trail is well-suited for beginners, characterized by its relatively easy terrain, often described as a “walk in the park.” Conversely, the Akiki Trail is known as the “killer trail” due to its more demanding nature, requiring three days to complete and posing greater physical challenges compared to Ambangeg.

Among the other two trails, Tawangan and Ambaguio, each presents unique opportunities for hikers. Tawangan Trail serves as the farthest starting point, granting hikers glimpses of nearby Mount Tabayoc, the second-highest peak in Luzon. Travelers often spend a night in Tawangan Village, nestled deep within the forest, adding an element of mystique to their journey. Conversely, the Ambaguio Trail, while the longest of the four, sees less traffic due to its cemented path, offering a distinct hiking experience compared to the more natural trails.

Depending on your pace and the trail you choose, your trek on Mount Pulag could take hours or extend over several days. However long it may be, the journey is sure to unveil a plethora of natural wonders that will leave an unforgettable mark on your memory.
