This Pride month, Village Pipol once again served as a platform for the LGBTQIA+ community, whose voices that call for equal rights and proper representation should be heard.
Since 2018, Village Pipol Magazine — the Philippines’ leading multimedia publication — has been continuously advocating for LGBT+ rights and gender diversity through social media campaign #BeyondPride. For the past years, the said campaign featured local celebrities, people from the creative industry, bloggers and influencers, corporate people, and ordinary citizens, who are all advocating for inclusivity regardless of gender.
We are gladdened by the overwhelming support of GMA Network, through its stars, executives, and employees who participated in the campaign and spoke their truth with us.
GMA Artist Center talents Bianca Umali, Shaira Diaz, Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay, Faye Lorenzo, Ashley Ortega, Kim de Leon, Althea Ablan, Manolo Pedrosa, Chanel Morales, Sanya Lopez, Claire Castro, Riel Lomadilla, Anthony Rosaldo, Jeremiah Tiangco, Mark Herras, Crystal Paras, Klea Pineda, Nikki Co, Thia Thomalla, Lyra Micolob, Janelle Lewis, Ana de Leon, Michelle Dee, Mikee Quintos, Angela Alarcon, Angel Guardian, Dani Ozaraga, Jeniffer Maravilla, Chariz Solomon, Mel Caluag, and Wish Ashley used their influence and joined in on promoting every person’s individuality regardless of gender. Individually, they sent a message that Pride Month goes beyond gender and its complexity.
Furthermore, GMA executives including Anette Gozon-Valdes, Simoun Ferrer, Joey Abacan, and Artist Center handlers are also in solidarity with us and participated in the campaign. Using one word, they all get to describe their role in the community. Whether you are part of it or an ally, your contribution will go a long way.
Now, more than ever, is the time to speak and act on our truth. We salute our Kapuso family for the support!
