Couldn’t Start the Day without Coffee
Right off the bed, when I get into my senses, the first thing I have in mind is to grab a mug and make coffee from brewing beans. It is not just a part of my day-to-day routine but more like a component essential to fuel my body. As ridiculous as it may sound, it seems like my brain wouldn’t start functioning without coffee entering my physique.
Brewing My Beans
Four years ago, back in my first year in college, I started drinking coffee. I happen to stir 3-in-1 coffee mixes available in many sari-sari stores, and I think I can identify which is which just by one sip of it. That’s how frequently I drink coffee, and every other week I try to buy different brands until I try something else. The manual style of making coffee, but using instant powders still, only that they are in a separate container. The black coffee, the creamer, and the sugar, of course. I stayed in this kind of coffee-making for two years as it costs less, and I have lessened my sachet wastes. It also allows you to customize your drink, whether you like it strong, creamier, or less sweet.
Until I received coffee beans last Christmas as a present, it was a medium roast arabica beans pre-ground by roasters. At that point, I thought of investing in some equipment essential to brewing coffee to use the beans. I researched the most basic way of brewing coffee, and I landed on purchasing a French press. It’s easy to use as you would only need to add your beans and put hot or cold water. Wait for 2 to 3 minutes, push the plunger down, and pour your coffee into a mug. You can drink it right ahead, but I prefer adding frothed milk and syrups. There are countless ways you could o how you could have your fuel of the day. Remember not to over-extract, however!
Coffee is a Language Itself
Though beans cannot talk, obviously, in my opinion, coffee is a language that many people speak. It is a language for asking someone out or when you can’t seem to start a conversation. Sure it is easier to say, “Want to grab coffee?” than “How have you been doing?” or “What have you been going through?”
Drinking coffee may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it could be what keeps them going for many coffeeholic. As the witty quotation says, ‘A bad day with coffee is better than a good day without it.’
So, have you had your boost of caffeine today? No? Don’t you worry, it’s never too late for a coffee. After all, it’s morning somewhere in the world.
