Alice in Borderland 2 is just around the corner
Indeed, the fans have waited long enough for Alice in Borderland Season 2 to arrive! We now know how long before its release as stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya shared something great on Instagram.
Both actors on Sunday, September 25, posted photos during their attendance at Netflix’s Japan Tudum event. Here, they disclosed December 22nd as the official premiere date of the highly-anticipated Japanese thriller-drama series.
The recently held Tudum experience showcased Japan’s continuing success in the world of entertainment. Many Japanese content, including the hit series Alice in Borderland, thrived with purpose in the previous years. Netflix also aired the show’s breathtaking trailer in line with the global fan event. Apart from this, there are two more Japanese live actions that audiences have their eyes on. These are the Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You and The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House.
Besides Kento (Arisu) and Tao (Usagi), seen in the Alice in Borderland Season 2 Super Teaser Trailer are the previous casts of Season 1, such as Nijiro Murakami (Chishiya), Ayaka Miyoshi (Ann), Dori Sakurada (Niragi), Aya Asahina (Kuina), Sho Aoyagi (Aguni), and Riisa Naka (Mira).
But to keep everyone still on the edge, six new actors will be joining the second season. The entertainment streaming service Netflix last June 19 told that Yuri Tsunematsu (Heiya) Tomohisa Yamashita (Kyūma), Hayato Isomura (Banda), Kai Inowaki (Matsushita), Katsuya Maiguma (Yaba), and Honami Satō (Kotoko) are the newest characters who will brave the survival games.

The last episode in Alice in Borderland Season 1 left the audiences wanting for more revelations. It depicted another chapter as Arisu and Usagi expect to meet the brains behind the nerve-wracking place they entered in. When the team concluded their production process, Kento and Tao did not waste a second bringing to public attention that the hit series includes many “large-scale scenes” and shots with “big set pieces, like explosions.”

The super teaser is just a glimpse, and additional details of the upcoming season is something everyone must prepare for. Nevertheless, the leading streaming platform displays what is deemed to be the show’s summary: Arisu and Usagi must unravel the mysteries of the Borderland in order to return to their world. Shifting from the shocking setting of an empty Shibuya in the first season, this season is set in a devastated Shibuya covered in plants.
