Yoo In Na and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo are casted in an upcoming series!
It’s official: Yoo In Na will be starring in an upcoming drama titled Snowdrop. The director and writer of the said series are also the ones behind Sky Castle.
Star-studded show with talented writer and director
The source confirmed today that Yoo In Na got the lead role in which she will join the rest of the cast: BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Jung Hae In, Kim Hye Yoon, Jang Seung Jo, and Yoon Se Ah. Soompi reported that In Na will portray the role of Kang Chung Ya. The character is a talented surgeon at a state-run hospital who can charm anyone so quickly.
Meanwhile, her agency YG Entertainment noted, “It is true that she received an offer for the drama, but her appearance has not been confirmed.”
It was August this year that the production announced that Jisoo is the show’s leading lady. Undeniably, BLACKPINK fans went crazy on the Internet over the news. After that, they posted another confirmation that Kim Hye Yoon and Jang Seung Jo are joining the show.
There were also rumors that Jung Hae In is in the middle of negotiation to stat as the leading man. According to his agency FNC Entertainment, “This is just one of a number of projects that were offered to him, and he is currently reviewing it.”
Yoo Hyun Mi is the writer for this series while Jo Hyun Tak is the director. They worked together in Sky Castle as mentioned. Because of this, there’s an anticipation for a show full of drama, romance, and mystery.
Yoo In Na also has an upcoming drama called The Spy Who Loved Me. It is scheduled for airing in October 2020. She’ll be working alongside Shinhwa’s Eric Mun and Im Joo Hwan. As for “Snowdrop”. it is currently scheduled to begin airing sometime in 2021.
