Sarah G makes her comeback in music with ‘Dati-Dati’
Give it up, Popsters! You heard that right— Sarah Geronimo is now officially returning to the music scene with her latest comeback single, “Dati-Dati.”
The pop star royalty has granted her fans’ wish for her to be back with a brand-new tune. Finally putting an end to her long hiatus that kept all supporters waiting, the “Tala” singer arrived with her latest beholden masterpiece.
Looking back, Geronimo welcomed a new life transition when she happily tied the knot with Matteo Guidicelli in February 2020. While she did not precisely stop her constant exposure, particularly with high-selling commercials and advertisements, the follow-up to her 2018 last studio album, “This 15 Me,” still awaits.
More than a year passed since her wedding, and Geronimo released a performance video for her song “Duyan” in July. A month later, she made her notable resumption on ABS-CBN’s Asap Natin ‘To stage with a segment, “Sarah G Specials.” These, in turn, furthered the anticipation that the return of the Pop Princess of the Philippines is perhaps coming soon.
And as manifested, Geronimo shocked the fans with hints of her comeback beginning in September. After the past few weeks filled with teasers, she released the official audio for Dati-Dati on October 7.
Immediately, Dati-Dati ranked in music charts like iTunes, where it peaked at the no. 1 spot in the Philippines and Qatar. Popsters also trended the tags DATI-DATI OUT NOW and #SarahGisBack on Twitter. Not to mention, Geronimo’s transformation pictures for this era made headlines across local news platforms.
