Microsoft Teams is trying to make remote learning easier

Microsoft recently announced that they would be having a new update to Teams. This makes it easier for educators to manage their remote classes. They announced it at this year’s BettFest conference. Microsoft Teams will have a new Class Insights where educators could gain insights into how their students perform in their classes.

The Class Insights tab can show average grades, on-time assignments, and average return time. It also shows conversation activity for their class over time. Aside from that, educators using Teams will have a single view to observe both individual student and class performance. Using the data from the Class Insights tab, the teachers would also be able to make more informed decisions regarding their curriculum, pacing, and student engagement.

Education customers rise high as COVID-19 hits

Microsoft Teams helped ease the transition from physical to virtual classrooms. Available for free educational institutions through Office 365 A1 offer, it provided a completely free customized hub for class teamwork. This included video meetings, online versions of the Office 365 apps, as well as compliance tools, and information protection. As schools move to a remote learning environment, it has provided an online classroom that brings together face-to-face connections, assignments, files, and conversations into a single platform accessible on a mobile device, tablet, PC, or browser.

From controls to manage digital classrooms and minimize disruptions, to solutions that enable secure learning environments. This includes education tools like Beedle, Dugga, Go1, Lexplore, Corinth, Ment.io, Squigl, and Wakelet among others. Microsoft also intended to keep students and their information secure with 3DBear, Edsby, Impero, Kortext, Lightspeed Systems, Senso.Cloud, School Day, and Skooler.
