Global action sports and lifestyle brand RVCA opens its PH flagship store

Excitement is at an all-time high in the local action and combat sports community, as the globally renowned lifestyle brand RVCA has officially arrived.

RVCA, pronounced as rew-ka, rose to notoriety by fusing together art, skate, surf, jiu jitsu, and mixed martial arts subcultures with unrivaled ease. The brand has since then etched a distinct identity that earned them loyalists across the world.

The brand’s philosophy of “balance in opposites” puts priority in how people should not remain boxed in. Founded in the US, it transcends boundaries and embraces the coexistence of opposite forces. This idea expresses in the brand’s logo with the letters V and A forming a chevron symbol.

To fully realize its vision, the brand has steadily collaborated and made waves across the subcultures.

RVCA Philippines marketing supervisor Marron Villapando said,

By working with this creative and athletic community, RVCA is able to create unique designs that resonate on a deeper level.

He added that this approach ensures that RVCA products are not only functionally stylish but are also a “representation of the culture and values of the people who wear them.” 

As proof of the close-knit community that RVCA has built, present during the event were action sports enthusiasts, art and fashion lovers, and combat sports athletes. Performers also included DJ JP Sacaben, Out of Scratch, & DJ Karwa.

I’ve been a fan of the RVCA philosophy for years now. Their work is a testament to owning all your awesomeness as you connect with others.

Aiming more people charged for action, the brand also launched its Sports line. 

The high-performance gear is perfect for those pursuing an active lifestyle. The collection features odor-fighting technology and remains engineered to become moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and lightweight— perfect for high-octane action anytime, anywhere.

The coming months will be even more action-packed, according to Llander Simon Cham, RVCA Philippines brand manager. 

They will be expanding the product selection and Cham said that more fan favorites such as training shorts, shirts, as well as bags and accessories are all coming soon. 

For the diehards out there, we are also working on the possibility of bringing the renowned gis here in the Philippines.

Additionally, he said that the opening of stores outside the metro is in the works for RVCA Philippines.  

We are also developing some events for the community like the RVCA Invitational, which will be an exclusive combat sports competition.

The RVCA flagship store is located on the second floor of Glorietta 3. The opening event was brought together with the help of Flip Sports Philippines, Pale Rose Tattoo, AP, 321 Films, Studio22, Out of Scratch, Atos JJ PH, BBC Jiu Jitsu, Sub Sports PH, and the Primer Group of Companies.
