Gabrielle Basiano’s Miss Intercontinental arrival look pays an interesting homage to Cleopatra
As expected, our girl, Gabrielle Basiano is starting her Miss Intercontinental 2022 journey on a high fashionable note. As she ascends to Egypt, Gabrielle is once again prepared and ready to give us another serve!
At this early stage of the competition, she’s already making her way to leave a great impression. Marking her entrance to the Arab country, Gabrielle arrives in an outfit hailing from the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra.
Crafted by the same people behind the iconic outfits we’ve seen from her, Ken Batino and Jevin Salaysay pulls off another banger with this one which they called ‘Cleopatra’s Pearl’.
Taking inspiration from the story behind the pearl and Cleopatra’s banquet, the outfit features a bright red blazer dress with pearls embroidered all over it. As Batino and Salaysay would put it, it simply pays tribute to one of history’s powerful female rulers and her undeniable love for pearls.
Taking step even further for her first day, Gabrielle is seen wearing a pink custom-made dress. This one, designed by Ritchie Teves, “symbolizes angels that glides and flows with the wind.”
With such a talented group of designers backing her up, it is no question that Gabrielle is definitely pulling all the stops. With the pressure of achieving that elusive back-to-back win, it seems like she’s handling everything quite well.
Using it as an advantage, she continues to maximize her resources of clothing to create bold and creative statements. As the pageant progresses, we’re confident that she’ll consistently bring out more stunning outfits. This in turn, make us fans excited for what’s to come.
