Buying five things as a part of my 2023 New Year’s resolutions

Christmas is the season of giving to others. However, New Year’s is the time to give a little something for ourselves, too. I’ve sworn off resolutions for a long time because I thought it wouldn’t really matter. But, these past few years fucked me up. So, I thought… why not make a change for 2023 and make a few resolutions that would make my day-to-day a little bit better?
So, I listed down five things that I’m for sure getting as a part of 2023 New Year’s Resolutions:
My 2023 New Year’s resolutions are all about intention. I want to be honest with myself about my current condition and the distance to my preferred situation. I feel like it’s the key to my improvement. Being intentional about how I want to grow and develop will help me achieve my results. I want to make a contribution to my emotional and mental health.
NEW BOOKS
I love books. But, the only problem I have with buying books refers to storage. So, I’m planning on setting up a shelf on my desk at home. That way, I could put all my old and new books there. When 2023 comes and I feel overwhelmed with work and other stuff, I could just pull out a book that comforts me and just read for an hour… or two… or maybe eight.

COFFEE BEANS
I usually wake up at noon. Since I work at home, I don’t really have a strict schedule to follow unless a client wants me to write something and the deadline is literally the next day. So, to improve my sleep schedule, I plan on waking up earlier in 2023 than I usually do now. That’s why I’m planning on buying coffee beans to liven up my mornings.

NEW BEDDING
Related to the earlier entry, I plan on buying new bedding to improve my sleep schedule. The reason why I wake up at noon relates to the time I fall asleep. I could go to bed at around ten in the evening. But, I would be staring at the ceiling for hours and fall asleep at four in the morning. So, hopefully, new bedding can be one of the additions to my sleep requirements this 2023. It might work or it might not. But, at least, I intend to do something for my own improvement.

A PAIR OF HEELS
This might sound crazy but I actually need a pair of heels. As one of the senior editors of Village Pipol Magazine, I would go to events to represent the publication. And, sometimes, those events are a little bit fancy. So, coming into 2023, I plan on improving my personal fashion style even more and arriving as one of the best-dressed people during these events.

A VERSATILE DRESS
Related to the earlier entry, I want to improve my personal fashion style. Aside from going to events, I also want to go out more. I realized that it makes me depressed when I stay too long inside my house. So, this 2023, I want to get out more. I want to meet up with friends more or even just alone… as long as I’m well-dressed.
