Who would’ve thought your ex is still good for something? This Valentine’s day, Burger King is being extra for letting its customers trade the pictures of their exes for a delicious and FREE whopper. Well, it isn’t that bad to look back in the past just for this time.
Ex-lovers in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Boston can bring a printed photo of their ex to Birds of Prey-themed “breakup boxes” at selected Burger King restaurants to get a free whopper on February 14.
In fact, this flame-grill deal is a partnership of Burger King with Warner Bros. Pictures’ new film Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) for its Valentine’s promotion.

New York peeps can also bring in letters, stuffed animals, or a specified piece of clothing to claim a burger. But for those who don’t live near one of the breakup boxes, don’t lose hope. The giant burger chain is also launching a quiz via the BK app, giving people a chance to get a $3 Whopper. Participants must answer four out of the five questions correctly to get their rewards.
In fact, this isn’t the first time for a company to come up with an “Anti-Valentine’s Day” theme. Last year, the El Paso Zoo in Texas, U.S. offered to name a cockroach after a person’s ex for its Valentine’s day theme. Said cockroach would be fed to a meerkat live on-cam.
Perhaps, Burger King also recognizes the presence of single peeps.
