There’s a lot going on in this movie, and it can be hard to keep track of everything just by watching without interest. But if you stick with it, you won’t get bored, and you’ll figure out what’s going on. All we can say is this is a call worth picking up.
The Clinical
In The Clinical, we follow the story of a psychiatrist who begins to experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder as she struggles with the ghost of her patient. Though it can be hard to follow at times, the clinical has an underlying feeling of suspense and thriller the whole way through. The plot twist will leave you puzzled at the end.
Escape Room
A group of people is put through a succession of increasingly difficult and dangerous “escape rooms”. They try to make it out alive using just their wits. Its intricate plot is reminiscent of the mysteries and puzzles you’d encounter in a real-life escape room. There’s a consistent level of intensity and tension that keeps you engaged throughout the film. One of the most astute choices made in the film was to ensure that the story would center on the characters’ joint efforts to solve the puzzles rather than on the multiple grisly deaths that would occur. However, critics were divided on this film. Some are praising the film’s ambiance and its cast while others are saying it failed to live up to its potential because of its formulaic plot and underutilized premise. Nevertheless, it is still worth watching.
The Woman in the Window
The film follows an agoraphobic child physiologist. It is due to some tragic flashback so she faces an anxiety disorder and panic attacks that make her fear places and situations. For the past ten months she has been inside the house and unable to step out of it she begins to spy on her new neighbors and witness a disturbing act of violence.
Watching this film in a quiet environment is recommended. Watching it at night will give you the full effect of the suspense. It will make your heart race and give you the chills.
