Veinte Bayanihan distributes food packs to affected families in Marikina and Rizal
The past weeks have been rough for a number of our kababayans due to typhoons, especially the recent storm Ulysses. Destructive winds and torrential rains wreaked havoc on some Filipino families in Rizal, Marikina, Cagayan, Isabela, Quezon Province, and other areas.
In just one day, these families lost their livelihood, their personal belongings, their homes, and even their lives. Needless to say, we can do something aside from prayers and saying comforting words. Our compassion needs action. That’s why Village Pipol launched its “Veinte Bayanihan“, a donation drive to help the victims of the said disaster. In less than a week, the said fundraising garnered more than 18,000 in cash, which is used to buy food and necessities.
Mr. Josh Austria, PR & Marketing Manager and Head of Veinte Bayanihan, expressed his gratitude to all the donors and sponsors who took part in this relief operation.
“I’m really overwhelmed with all the help and donations we received since we started Veinte Bayanihan days ago. I have seen everyone helping each other in this time of need, and this inspired me to also contribute something to my community.”
#VeinteBayanihan is spearheaded by Village Pipol in cooperation with affiliate companies RED Farms, Kadiwa ni Juan SuperMart, and RED Entertainment.
Likewise, corporate brands MyPhone, SIP Purified Water, and SHARP Philippines supported the project thru cash and product donations adding to the total donations generated by #VeinteBayanihan
Yesterday, November 17, Veinte Bayanihan started its relief operations in Marigold Subdivision, Rodrigues, Rizal, and in some affected barangays in Marikina. In our relief operations, a total of 350 families received food packs, mineral water, and other necessities.
“2020 has not been the best year for the Philippines or even the world, but by working together towards a single unified goal, we shall together survive and rise,” said Mr. Richie de Quina, CEO RED Entertainment Group.
