The Philippines to be represented by two Filipinas at Miss Equality World 2023

Ahead of its upcoming competition on August, Miss Equality World announced on April 2 that two candidates can now represent one country at the pageant. This development definitely adds more excitement as it increases a country’s chance at winning the crown.

The Philippines–in particular–is surely more than ready to defy all odds as it gears up to send two strong candidates. In knowing a little bit about them, meet this year’s pair of Filipina flag bearers.

Starting off with well-known personality, Manila’s Anne Patricia Lorenzo is ready to represent the country. The TV host, and entrepreneur gained notoriety when she joined the second season of It’s Showtime’s Miss Q and A, placing in the Top 6. Anne would return for season three and eventually win as Miss Q & A Queen of The Mutibeks 2022.

Moving from TV competition to the national pageants, Anne would compete at Miss International Queen Philippines in 2022 and 2023. There, she would place as first and third runner-ups, respectively.

Enter candidate number two; hailing from the Queen City of the south is Herbie Jumar. The dusky Cebuana works as a Volunteer Coordinator at a Non-Government Organization. A well-decorated pageant queen, herself, Herbie is surely going to use her experiences to make the country proud.

Among her accolades include being Miss Trans Earth International Philippines 2023. She’s also won Queen of Cebu City as well as Queen of the North Universe in 2022.

The final will be taking place in Bali, Indonesia on August 8.
