Roses and every message it speaks
Flowers have somewhat become the usual gift that many people give to their significant others. I’m not saying everyone wants it. However, if we’re talking a traditional way, flowers are there when you want to show adoration for the other. And, roses are our favorite way of showing a strong feeling of love.
Language of flowers
Every flower is said to have its own meaning. Like how the yellow tulips would signify sunshine in your smile or forget-me-nots would mean don’t forget our memories. These have messages that are meant to be sent or felt.
Roses
Just as the language of flowers, there are various messages that roses convey. This would vary based on the color and the arrangement of flowers.
Red Rose
A red rose is the most common color of roses that signifies love. Although, the different shades can also mean love in different degrees. While the bright red rose tells about romance, the burgundy rose means that your feeling may have not yet been revealed.
Pink Rose
Receiving a bouquet of flowers on your special day just makes everyone’s heart melt. But there’s just more than the flower itself.
Compared to the red rose having a passionate meaning, the pink rose shows a lighter message of gratitude and grace. As the dark pink says “thank you” for the appreciation, the paler pink shows gentleness.
White Rose
A white rose can be given during ceremonial occasions such as weddings, christening, and graduations. Given that white is a symbol of purity and innocence, it is believed to be given in celebrating new beginnings with its color.
Purple Rose
Purple roses speak of fascination or adoration. With its color, it is associated with elegance. For the most part, a purple rose signifies love at first sight.
Yellow Rose
Yellow roses symbolize friendship. It is also said to be the only rose color with no romantic meaning. So, you can send these to your friends or colleagues without worrying if there’s any meaning in the action. It’s purely platonic.
Orange Roses
The orange rose can be a substitute for red roses too. Although, with the lighter color of orange, it doesn’t speak the same passion for love just as the red. This means that orange roses are also about love but not as deep as the red roses. It’s more on fascination.
Message Sent!
There are still other messages that a rose conveys. These are just the few that are usually given. Bouquets and arrangements of the roses also have their own meanings. Reader’s Digest also provided a compilation of roses and their color’s meaning.
If you want to confess to your crush, I suggest you give them a rose. No words, just a rose.
Mae has always been into writing. She likes to write poems whenever she is inspired to do so. Or, she would just write her thoughts freely in her journal. Other than that, she spends her time listening to random music, watching movies, and just browsing on Twitter. It may sound like she's an introvert but she's really talkative when you meet her. You'd even wish the gods to let her stop talking and breathe.
