Mom, the epitome of love: An eternal blossom in the garden of life

For a long time, we used to cling to the connotation that fathers are the first to set the example of how children, especially daughters, should love and be loved. We often despise the reality that both parents can be role models for love and healthy relationships. It is not necessarily the case that fathers are the primary archetype for love instead of mothers. Each child’s experience and observation are unique, and they may take different things from the relationships modeled by their parents. I don’t know about you, but my mom is my epitome of love.

The epitome of love: An eternal blossom that is my mom in the garden of life

My mom played a crucial role in shaping my understanding of love. From a young age, I look to her for guidance, comfort, support, and affection. But, beyond just seeing her as a provider of physical needs, she is a powerful epitome of love.

She also plays a vital role in teaching her children how to express and receive love through verbal and nonverbal communication. From the way she talks to the way she makes us feel, there’s always a fragment of affection. More than that, she teaches us how to understand and interpret the love of others, which is crucial for building healthy relationships.

Her love’s never-ending lullaby

Out of the ways a mother can show her love for her children, being present has worked for us the most. Whether through a simple hug or lending a listening ear, my mom’s presence makes all the difference in my life. She stays on through highs and lows to give a word of encouragement or offer a helping hand. Her unwrapping support helps me build self-confidence and self-esteem.

When I was too young and iffy about most things academics, she was up late at night helping me with homework. In broad daylight, her companionship and patience motivated me to be eager to learn. All her acts of love and sacrifice – big and small – helped shape my sense of security and belonging in the world.

Perhaps one of the greatest gifts a mother can give is the gift of her own self-love. I’ve seen her capable of loving and accepting herself. And that sets the example for me to follow. She constantly reminds me it’s okay to be imperfect and to make mistakes. And tell you what, I think that self-love is the foundation of all healthy relationships.

Safe haven

Nothing beats a home – the home that is my mom – furnished with comfort, safety, and love. She’s the place I can go when I need comfort and support. She is the guiding light in a world that sometimes tends to be so bright. My mom’s love is like a beacon shining, guiding me through life’s winding.

The unsung hero

Moms are often the unsung heroes of our lives, carrying a love that is selfless, unconditional, and unwavering. I don’t know about you, but my mom is the most important figure in my life. Unlike any love form, her’s is not contingent on performance, behavior, or any other external factor.

She is gentle on a fevered brow and the listening ear when life gets too loud. Not just about the sacrifice and the giving hand. Regardless, her love is always grand.
