Drake just dropped his 7th album. And it is a vibe!

Drake just made the vibe of the summer a lot hotter as he is back after he surprisingly released his seventh studio album “Honestly, Nevermind,” which left a lot of his fans stunned and for sure, in their feelings.

Featuring a 14 – track album, Drake announced on his Instagram that new music is coming. And it sure did. The Canadian rapper dropped his 7th LP album last Friday, just nine-months after the success of his last album “Certified Lover Boy.”

“Honestly, Nevermind” highlights Drake mostly singing instead of rapping. The album also had one collaboration with 21 Savage. The two emcees partnered in the album’s final song, “Jimmy Cooks.”

Already topping the charts

According to HITS Daily Double, it is expected that Drizzy’s “Honestly, Nevermind” will debut atop the Billboard 200 chart. HITS also projects sales to reach up to 210,000 to 230,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

The projections put Drake’s “Honestly, Nevermind” way ahead of other notable albums that recently dropped. Logic’s Vinyl Days is reportedly on track for 35,000 to 45,000 units sold while Kevin Gates’ Khaza is in the 30,000 to 40,000 range.

Despite the indication that Drake’s new album is going to be a hit, the album also received some mixed response. Some fans believed that his 7th album isn’t on par with his previous works. Drake was quick to downplay the criticisms in a brief clip that surfaced on social media.

“It’s all good if you don’t get it yet,” Drake said. “It’s all good. That’s what we do. We wait for you to catch up. We’re here though. We caught up already. On to the next. My goodness.”

Drake also said that the album is dedicated to his late good friend, the groundbreaking designer Virgil Abloh. Virgil passed away last November. The dedication is indicative throughout the album as Drake samples snippets of Abloh’s voice.

Drake’s announcement of his new album came just hours after Beyonce announces her return and the release date of her new album, “Renaissance” which will come out on July 29.
