Ace Banzuelo officially releases ‘Babae’ for Women’s Month
Sony Music Philippines has celebrated International Women’s Month. Ace Banzuelo pays homage to women everywhere with his new single, Babae. Ace calls the new single the genesis of a relationship. This, of course, tells the story of two people who may like each other. However, they have yet to put in the foundation of trust within the said connection. He recently had a press conference where he spoke with the press last Wednesday, March 9. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter also spoke about the creation of the lyrical genius and mysterious music video of Babae.

During the press conference, Ace received applause as he expressed his delight when Sony Music Philippines used Babae as an official anthem for International Women’s Month.
“When the team approached me about the possibility of using my song as part of a women-focused campaign, I immediately said yes. I’ve worked with many talented women all my life. And, it’s about time that we recognize their legacy and how they have contributed significantly in pushing the culture forward. They are as great or even as better than their counterparts if truth be told.”
It was a breath of fresh air as the women’s presence in his music video appealed to the female gaze. With director Katrina Arciaga, they had the inspiration for the music video from movies like Jennifer’s Body, other music videos, and Korean fantasy dramas that have the presence of divine and supernatural femininity.
