Top 4 Reasons Why You Should Watch All 4 Seasons Of ‘Never Have I Ever’

It talks about friendship

‘Never Have I Ever’ has given us all the drama we could ever look for only just by watching Devi, Fabiola, and Eleanor. The trio never ran out of challenges in their friendship but it didn’t faze them at all. Not only did the trio learn new things from each other, but they also learned their differences and decided to love each other still!

It shows the culture of Indians and Asians alike!

Devi has never swayed from her Indian roots even though she never actually grew up in India. From her mom’s number 1 rule to always bring confections whenever going to someone else’s house to their cultural events like Ganesh Puja.

Aside from Devi, there are a lot of characters that embrace their cultural roots like Paxton. We were all in awe when he gained help from his Oji-chan for their history class. Never have we all ever stan Asian characters more like we did with Devi and Paxton!

It tackles familial bond

‘Never Have I Ever’ tackled a lot of types of families and we’re all here to tune in!

Just like Devi’s family with her mom and cousin, all families are unique and have their own ups and downs. This Netflix series has shown us that our families make us whole no matter how different they are from others.

Also, thumbs up to Netflix for coming up with something that we, Asians, can relate to! So much for our craving for academic excellence that it’s the same thing that’s bringing us together.

Never have we all ever stan a series more because of their diverse representation of families!

It addresses traumas and grief

There would be no story without Devi’s trauma and grief process. ‘Never Have I Ever’ has shown us the process of losing a loved one and moving on in a different light. And to be able to relate it to a life of a teenager is something that we love about this series.

With Devi having to cope with her father’s sudden death and the frustrations of being a teenage highschooler, it has shown us how coping doesn’t always mean that you have to cry all day and lose the life that you once had, it can be in a form of acting out to your mom or being emotionally unavailable to your friends.

Nevertheless, this series has taught us some lessons in life and we’re digging it!
