Karla Majam is Immaculate in her Miss Uniworld 2023 National Costume
In a historic feat, Karla Majam have won the Philippines its first Miss Uniworld crown. A strong contender since the beginning, Karla has managed to charm the competition with both her beauty, strength, as well as a heavenly wardrobe.
This is definitely evident through her national costume. Reflecting on the country’s identity as the largest catholic nation in Asia, the costume is both culturally relevant and genuinely divine.

Naming it “The Filipino Faith”, the costume is the creation of Filipino designer Khandie Segovia. Taking inspiration from the country’s strong spiritual devotion, the costume represents the image of the Virgin Mary.
In a social media post, the costume is described as:
“It serves as a powerful reminder of the profound impact of faith on the lives of Filipinos and showcases the intricate beauty and craftsmanship that the nation is renowned for.”
Furthermore, the costume also serves as a source of inspiration, particularly towards embracing one’s roots and celebrating our values. Stating that:

Karla won the title of Miss Uniworld 2023 on June 11 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With a long and exciting reign ahead of her, we’re going to see a lot more from this angelic beauty.
