5 Korean Movies That I Consider As Total Gems
With the overwhelming popularity of Korean entertainment around the world now, it’s not impossible that we don’t know even one movie from them. Personally, I typically watch four to five movies each month. I’ve probably watched Korean ones in every genre. Comedy? Horror? Romance? Action? Sci-fi? You name it! I guess I can call myself a Korean film enthusiast now!
5 Korean Movies That I Consider As Total Gems
Alienoid
In 2022, mankind chased after an alien prisoner who has been imprisoned in a human body, and gurus in the late Goryeo period attempting to get a fabled, holy weapon. A time-traveling portal opens, bringing the two together.
I’ve seen different kinds of alien-type movies and this movie is my favorite one. The plot is fresh and very enjoyable to watch. Take note that the casts of this film are all very well-known actors and actresses.
Sinkhole
Need a laugh? Try watching this movie. Sinkhole is not your typical disaster film. My stomach almost exploded from laughing too much. The cast really did well in acting in this film. I rarely watch movies twice but I can watch this movie many times and I’d still laugh.
Escape from Mogadishu
In Mogadishu, Somalia, a civil war breaks out, trapping rival diplomats from North and South Korea. And their only chance of surviving requires banding together with enmity rivals to flee because neither government will provide assistance.
This movie is a good watch because you will definitely get hooked as the story progresses.
The Call
In order to alter her own destiny, a serial killer risks the past and life of another lady whom she has known for 20 years but over a phone connection.
I yelled my lungs out while watching this movie. I was terrified as Park Shin Hye’s character attempted to defend her own life from the serial killer from the past. And I genuinely despise the movie’s antagonist, thus their performance was excellent.
Pandora
In a small town, a nuclear power plant is constructed; however, not long after, an earthquake causes the plant to explode, exposing the locals to radiation. Get plenty of tissues ready because watching this movie will not only make you cry but sob like a baby.
Which movie listed above are you planning to watch? Let me know in the comments.
